I tried the Armourall interior protection wipes which I could leave in the car and they were absolute poo. They left a sticky feeling all over the dash and the dash now all dust acutally sitcks to the dash and its even harder to clean. Lucky I tried it on the wifes car first :spoton:

Try Mothers Naturally Black on the interior plastic trims. Its a creamy liquid and doesn't leave the sticky armorall feel or attract dust.

You apply it to say a door trim and allow to dry then buff with a dry cloth.

The blurb on the back says:

"removes oxidation, ground in dirt, wax residue and surface film. Treated surfaces will look new again and be protected from further oxidation or deterioration caused by sun, smog, ozone, water, chemicals and airborne contaminants".

Despite its name it doesn't turn stuff black and you only need to use it on the interior once a month AT MOST.

I use it inside a dark colored FG interior and it always comes up schmick.

Autoglym, for the wyn. The interior stuff is awesome. Vinyl doesn`t look wet or feel overly slippery, just looks new.

Bowdens is good gear, I`ve got some of their stuff.

Autoglm is just that lil bit better.

And don't forget to fill your wallet before you get some. It's not cheap. But it works.

For the seats I put a cap of wool wash in a whole bucket of warm water and wipe the seats and door trim with a well wrung out rag. Then give them srub with a white towel. Leave the car out and open for it to dry and all the smells are gone and it looks clean. Same for the carpet.

For my windows I use 50/50 water/metho in an atomiser and a dry clean cloth. usually an old t-shirt.

Leather conditioner produces a high end feel and matt look on all interior plastics, soft and hard, and leather of course.

The trick is to apply the material in a thin coat on grained materials. Even a slightly thicker coat will get between the embossed grain of the plastics or leather and look unsightly and is tedious to remove.

Ideally you can saturate a cloth or similar with the leather conditioner and then wipe off the excess on the smooth leather and vinyl surfaces of the interior. It is more or less impossible to overdo leather conditioner on a smooth leather surface as an over application wipes right off.

When the cloth or similar no longer contains surplus leather conditioner, have a go at all the grained plastics in the car. Leave overnight for best results.

Regards,

aa
