romanooo Member 31 Member For: 15y 10m 27d Gender: Male Location: SHEPPPP VIC Posted 23/12/09 11:00 AM Share Posted 23/12/09 11:00 AM so I get home from work last night to hear the the dirtiest ticking noise coming from the head of my bf xr6 when it idols so I tried this morning and it was there but not as loud so the hotter the engine the louder the noise gave my mate a call whos a technician at ford and he seems to think it might be a damaged lifter but until he comes over and sees and hears it for himself he cant guarantee that that's the problem. if it is though where gunna pull her apart as soon as possible and replace the lifters but I thought while weve got it apart I might as well replace the cams and lifters for performance ones. . ive looked at crow cams options and will give them a call to see what they think the best option cam is but anyway was just wonderin if anyones cammed their n/a 6 and what gear they used and what people would reccomend. . any help would be much appreciated thanks guys Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

He was pushing it 2 hard and it started ticking like mad , turned out to be a broken lifter , doesnt cost much to fix and is pretty easy .
