G'day all,

Just wondering if anyone talked there dealer into throwing a pair of brembo's into the deal when they bought there g6et?

If so how much did you pay and who did you go about it I asked about it but the dealer I was going through was real knob and just said that only fpv's could be optioned with them.

But I dont see the problem if yours is getting built and your willing to pay..

Go aftermarket if you can , much cheaper. Ford tried to rip me for $2.5k for just front rotors and pads. I replaced those components for less than half that amount

They dont fit under the stock 18s, and was told same for the 19s, so you'd have to get FPV spec wheels too. But yeah be nice if Brembos were a factory option.

You're joking right? The most glaring issue is that there isn't a rim that'll fit over the bloody things fitted in plant, so Ford would have to send the car out with slave wheels on, or send it to FPV for them to deal with it, then there's the retraining of operators, countless adjustments to the production systems, adjustments to the bill of materials for that individual car (ridiculous), and don't forget contact with suppliers to ensure the appropriate level of parts is maintained throughout the supply chain. Oh and assuming you're asking for 6 pot fronts who's going to fit the front upper arm washers that address the vibration issues with brembo 6 pots?

Just slap em on ay?

Dealer fit - says it all in 2 words.

all cranky pants late night posts aside, I reckon we should have em as an option, and we do now with the latest police XR6Ts (4 pot brembos with BA typhoon rims).

I certainly would've ticked the box!

Noooooooooo now my brain hurts

We all poo poo ford for being to dear on thier accessories. Then we shoite on them cause they don't build the T to FPV spec's. ????

WTF. You want to buy them off ford, so you can pay a huge premium to get them off ford, then come on here and winge about being ripped off!!!!!!!!!!!!

Think we all need to get laid more often. lol

You have to put mags on your car to make it your own for mine. And to keep the originals pristine.

Plenty of good shops on this site will do it for you for less than Ford.

No brainer.

BTW I have driven one with 4 pots front and rear. Perfect ! And at least a free case of beer in the fridge at new pad time.

Yep Ford and there dealers can be a pain but this is just ridiculous.

Ouch!!

Sorry mate you see I have only been seriously into the car scene for a little over a year now and where not born with the knowledge of brembo's so at some stage in out life's we ask or are taught about such subjects and then we retain this information.

Considering I thought everyone on here was here to learn or talk in a friendly place I thought I would ask so sorry for doing so ill wait till someone bring the subject to save coping stick as I don't know or claim to be very educated in all things in the car scene.

but to the rest of you that answered thanks I have learn;t from it and walked away with what I came on here from the first place... ANSWERS!!! so chill with the ego dude I'm in my early twenties and have no mates into cars only my dad who brought me up on old cars and he ain't here no more so RELAX

:hohum:

And as it seems a few people not just on here and the new dealer I'm going

through have had this done if your willing to order in the fpv rims. Just had to find the right dealer willing to go that extra mile for the sale..

And I'm glad I made such a stupid post as I have know gained some knowledge which I can pass on and retain and also have been contacted by another member who can supply the 6 pot and 4 pot front and rear's for a awesome price which fits my budget and another has kindly given me a list of wheels he has known to fit over the brembo's not just fpv so that will also send me in the right direction next year..

And next time you read a post of mine and as you will find there usually in the asking a question range just ignore it as you will find they me be a little stupid but I guess at some stage we were all there true? I'm slowly learning and I have found that 99% of people on here answer with great knowledge and attitude so thanks guys merry xmas and drive safe..
