I will however get out there with some instrumentation, and test my car, with my mods, and then report the results. I feel there are some MAJOR compromises in all of the kits on the market on the moment, as NOT ONE of them addresses the computer control issue from a classic, and correct, software modification viewpoint. None of them change the torque limiter, or access any of the base software parameters. ALL of them trick the computer, which is fine, cause it works, but really gives no one the high horse advantage. Doesnt really matter what you call it. However, the cars seem to run, and fine in most cases.

Guest Turbomax Guests Posted 28/09/03 02:04 AM Share Posted 28/09/03 02:04 AM Street Tuner, are you working on developing the proper software, I.e. designing a proper solution rather than tricking the existing one? When will you be releasing the info? As no others seem to have cracked it yet, it sounds like it might be highly sort after ( a bit like a Bathurst win....come on the Henrys).By the way, I enjoy the mag and look forward to the next issue. The technical articles are great so keep up the good work. The T being such a popular car has generated enormous passion and desire, and we're all keen to see the secrets unlocked. Ford's computie is a beauty .... there is no need to break all the codes ... or for Ford to hand over the keys (ala LS1) ... Martin, on your dynochart why is the RP=96.5 ? ... and that was a 3rd gear run ... all and all about the same as in your article ...my disgraceful effort was in 3rd in an auto and little valve spring (as I said)... the auto's been worked to reduce flaring on changes ... and temp ...when I get some good results with the gear I'm running and I'm happy with the basic Ford stuff (I.e. the head) then I'll post it ... why post when all there is atm is bad news cheers
Street Tuner Member 727 Member For: 22y 1m 22d Posted 28/09/03 06:01 AM Share Posted 28/09/03 06:01 AM Because the Relative Pressure as displayed was 965 on the weather station. That run was also performed in 4th gear. As per 'bending' the signals? Of course there is no problem, everyone does it!
Cobra potty trained Lifetime Members 1,938 Member For: 21y 9m 21d Gender: Male Posted 28/09/03 08:09 AM Share Posted 28/09/03 08:09 AM hi Martin,4th ok .. the speed seemed a little low for a manual ... as for the relative pressure it seems impossibly low ... centre of cyclone material ... I'm no meteoroligist (nor a good speller either) your 1013mm is more the norm (as per your article)maybe a 4%-5% difference to power levels (false increase) cheers
Guest 56Mainline Guests Posted 29/09/03 09:52 AM Share Posted 29/09/03 09:52 AM I agree, 965 mB is low, cyclonic low!
Street Tuner Member 727 Member For: 22y 1m 22d Posted 29/09/03 11:06 PM Share Posted 29/09/03 11:06 PM With the Humidity, Room Temp, and Inlet temp numbers I reckon the correction was 1.021. We have had some dreadfully low pressure days here this year, lots of rain, lots of cloud. I even reset the station just to make sure, as like you, I find that a little low. On the other hand, take 7kw off the power figure, and there it is totally uncorrected
Street Tuner Member 727 Member For: 22y 1m 22d Posted 29/09/03 11:07 PM Share Posted 29/09/03 11:07 PM With Mine, and I would reckon its the same as the thing they sell, you can adjust boost anywhere between 7 and 18psi
