This story is the most bogus story I have ever heard.. I can't wait until the truth about this comes out.. must be trying to get out of a speeding fine I reckon.

:beerchug::beerchug:

So all at once with no warning, the cruise control switch on the brake pedal worked before he turned on the cruise (it checks). then stopped working. Okay that is possible once in the history of the universe..

His brakes didn't work.. except for when he needed them at the end.. right.. that's likely...

he couldn't turn the ignition off? I still cant work that out, why not? was he retarted?

so then he couldn't slip it into neutral.. yes some auto's wont let you move the shifter out of park without the key..

but again for the first time ever his shifter jammed at the same time as his ignition, brakes, the cruise control switch, even the coast and cruise buttons stopped working simultaneously.

This dude is the dumbest person I have ever heard a word about.. ever... my cat is smarter..

They had him on the news this morning, parading him around in a wheelchair. Certainly isn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer

I agree and reckon it's an attempt to get out of something that might have just escalated a bit too far.

Stupid bloody media are just lapping it up as well.

Yep, it has to be a load of crap. Some attempt to get some sort of publicity, or a compo payout from Ford (similar to someone slipping over at Maccas to claim compo).

Too many indipendant things went wrong with the car at the same time, then all worked when he really needed it.

Vic Police investigating wild Explorer

Ford Australia has offered the Victoria police "technical assistance" in the evaluation of an Explorer allegedly involved in a juggernaut ride through Melbourne's outer suburbs.

All of it at:

I read* that Ford have wiped their hands of any wrongdoing coz the Explorer was Flash tuned!!!

(* never actually read that and made it up for the Irony of it all at the expense of a us tuned 6T owners with voided warranty)

I thought it was pretty suss too. How convenient that he happened to stop just "half a meter" from another car, avoiding a crash when he couldnt get it to stop at all until that point... please.

Wonder if he got a nice discreet deposit in his account from Expensive Daewoo after the incident... Wouldnt put it past them.
