I've been searching for ages looking for the thread on what to look for when buying a xr6t but I cant find it anywhere.I've been told to look out for leaking radiators and the typical turbo sound and so on, is there any rust spots or anything to look out for? I've owned 2 VL turbos and know theres alot of things to look at when buying one of them lol.Any pointers will be greatly appreciated, even if its just the link to the right thread.Cheers Keelan Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/64283-what-to-look-for-when-buying-a-bfii-xr6t/ Share on other sites

Being an 08 it should be fairly clean so spotting something out of the ordinary shouldnt be too hard. Good luck. Just a few little things like the timing belt cover looks like its been off before and a fair bit of silicon is around it. One of the belts is starting to fray and spiting a bit of rubber around. Drivers side quarter panel gap is a little bit bigger compared to the passenger side, but it doesnt look like any of the bolts have been undone.. Apart from that it drove very smooth, I thought that it would go a bit quicker, cant really feel the boost come on to much. It was the first one I've driven though, so I might drive a few more before making a move.. I did a quick one online at the vic roads site and it came up clear. Where do I do a revs check from?
