so, The question I have to ask is how much did this cost? I have been thinking about building myself a stonger engine before mine pops.

If you are going to replace the rods and pistons anyway, would be easier on the budget to usa an N/A FG short motor as the donor?

I just purchased an FG F6 short motor, and am curious as to if haydns all went together okay. I've got a BF1, so am a litle worried about engine mounts matching up etc.?.?.?

Any tips for putting it all together again? I'd love to buy a set of rods for it, but money is tight so I'm probably gonna detune to 350ish and be content. Even though some people are pulling BIG numbers from stock FG's.

Whats the going rate on a short block

Ford quoted me $2930. Ford invoiced me $3240 inclusing + GST, and when I questioned them on the difference upon pick-up they charged me $2620. Figure that one out! lol

op, forgot about this thread.

Finally got my rocker covers painted & fitted. Also have now built the ZF and put a 2700rpm TCE converter in it. Retune to come! :icon_ford:

Cheers Jet!

Bayswater automatics did the labour for me, they removed the box and sent it to Extreme Ford Tuning in WA and the converter was sent to TCE. Think the converter was $700 from memory but I haven't really driven it much since my nizpro nugget spec battery failed but it felt firm when I did drive it. I just picked up an Odyssey PC925 battery (the ones nizpro use to use until they found they could save $100 on each battery by swapping to some pos) for it yesterday so will let you know how it is after I get the car tuned :spoton:
