Karl: as usual you went above and beyond to get the parts together for me in what was a short notice period. The prices were great as usual as well. Clinton: Your mechanical work and tuning are second to none that I have been involved with. The execution of the parts fitment and the power figures speak for them selves. The results of the parts, mechanical modifications and tuning have changed this car dramatically. Teh way it delivers the power now is very impressive, the power curve is so smooth it's incredible. With the old small turbo it all happened in one hit low in the revs and then petered out. Now it comes on hard and keeps building smoothly right up to the rev cut with no drop off of hp at all.The car runs ALOT smoother than before, indicating that we now have a far better match up of parts working in harmony togetehr and that Clinton's tuning reputation is well deserved. It idles perfectly, and operates beautifully under any throttle opening / load delivering smooth, strong power every where. My aim with these mods was to get the car to deliver the power better and rip all the way to 6000rpm rather than having the big hit and die off that it had before. This has been acheived fully as well as having the added bonus of BUCKET LOADS more power. Being tuned on a different dyno makes it impossible to compare power figures to the previous set up's 309rwkw but teh car feels massivley more powerful everywhere in the rev range. Lag is definately no more than before as well which is a real suprise.Tekaani: the turbo is from Hiro built by GCG to specs Karl gave them.Prudent: Yeh the car already has an LSD fitted so that's not too bad at the mo. wagnman Member 567 Member For: 15y 5m 1d Posted 01/12/10 05:56 AM Author Share Posted 01/12/10 05:56 AM Next mods in the plan at the moment are as follows:1: Chrome molly tailshaft.2: All bushes in the mounting of the diff cradle and the diff itself replaced with Poly.3: Investigate what ratio diff gears would be a good upgrade and change to them with a KAAZ LSD fitted as well (I know KAAZ are noisy when new but the KAAZ was awesome in my VY so I'll go for that again I think) Im not too sure how long the std LSD will cope with the power the cars making now..4: Brake upgrade of some sort - any sugestions beyond the usual Brembo's? I was looking at doing the basics of braided lines, better pads and fluids and slotted rotors, or going all out and getting 6 piston fronts and 4 piston rears.5: built ZF (no hurrly at all for this one but will happen in the future before more power mods). This little lot will keep me busy over the next year or two before I look back under the bonnet again and start leafing through the Atomic catalogue. Thank you for the kind words Andrew. When I got your message on the Sunday that we had a week to get everything ready I thought it was going to be a bit of a task. I was just as happy as you were that it all came together so smoothly. The best looking G6ET in Brisbane (possibly the country) now has the balls to match the looks. Well done mate. What mods? nah its all std love. The beauty of getting the car modded as soon as you buy it is that you have free reign from there on out and nothing gets noticed lol.The other thing I forgot to mention is that the 379 rwkw came at only 18PSI boost and Clinton left plenty of fuel in the tune so it's all nice and safe. There is plenty left in it if I want to push it a bit later on

Brother switched to the Harrops 6spot/4spot on his twin turbo VZ LS2 and can now cancel his life insurance policy if he wanted!!! Not sure if you read Motor Magazine...and follow the Tuners tests they have, but Harrop braked cars seem to be up there with some of the best stopping distances...althought I realise this is also a function of supsension and tyres.P.S. Congrats on great result too. Edited 02/12/10 12:13 AM by juggernaut
