I doubt it....I don't expect an 8 speed ZF for at least another 2 years when the mid life model change is done in say 2012...as was done in the transition from the 4 speed to 6 speed in the BA to BF.

Although it could appear earlier in say something special like if the GTHO evolves...eg 40th anniversary of the Phase 3 in 2011. (Ok I know im dreaming :innocent: )

Bump!....Yeah disappointing no details have been released about the revised F6 with Euro 4 compliance given that we are in July. I wonder if it has been delayed to match the delayed release of the Supercharged V8 which seems to be in September given the Internet chatter. Im surprised that none of the car mags have any scoops etc on it.

As much as I understand what's going on and how things happen, I've got to say I'm extremely disappointed by the approach (or lack of) Ford and FPV have chosen. There are very limited numbers of new 5.4L FPV's in stock around the country, so I can't see why they couldn't have started a nice drip feed to create and maintain interest in the new launch. You just need to look at how FordUS are approaching their release of new vehicles for an idea on 'how it should be done'...

XR8 have been basically built to order for a long time now also, so why the lack of information by Ford on it's future branding and positioning?

My latest info suggests that the driveline (diff, diff bush, tailshaft, what ever you want to believe) issues are sorted... so I expect official info soon.

Simple answer - RE: the V8, who would go out and buy a Boss if Ford released the details. Suicidal move if done too early. Interest will be just fine - its just an engine change anyway.

RE: the turbos, resources are stretched, priority was given to naturally aspirated 6 as that's the volume seller.

that's not the answer. You could also argue, which is just as important, how many sales have Ford handed to Holden/HSV because they've chosen not to inform their customers???

As I said, there are many BOSS cars left out there and FPV aren't building BOSS engines as of more than a month ago!

heres a bit of news prolly already out but ford will not have a v8 option or xr8 the only way to have a new 5.0 powerplant in any of fords new line up will only to be of the f.p.v range.

kind of good cause ford did need something to define the fpv brand other than badges and trim
