I was told the F6 power & torque figures from an FPV dealer rather than the mags....I don't see the dealer trying to spin BS if they are trying to make an honest sale in the future.

Your comment of "plenty of fuel in the Ford tank yet"...gives me hope that the new F6 will hopefully achieve those quoted numbers.

Personally I hope the new F6 gets better rubber - 245s at the rear are a joke for this much torque and paddle shift on the steering wheel to change gears.

No offence intended, but never take the words out of a dealers mouth as gospel. You'll usually learn about things on here well before the dealers are even aware of it.

^^ +1 !!!

ever since a ford dealer told me that at over 50-60kph my 350z had ZERO wind resistance I've expected them to be telling porkies 99% of the time..... on another note, if only nissan had been able to reduce rolling resistance/road friction to ZERO as well I would have had a perpetual motion Car just about !!! on flat roads anyway hahaha

They SHOULD take tips from their customers and listen to what WE want instead of standing around with their cocks in their hands saying things like 'mmm yeah lets put the same rims on the F6 310 as was on the Typhoon that'll look cool!'

would be nice if they released the xr6t and g6et mk2 around same time always makes you wanna wait just a few more months before ordering knowing in the future you will regret it when its time to sell personally I dont care but when looking at a second hand car you tend to go with the latest model..

Also brembos as an option for the ford models not just fpv I would def pay for that!!

+2 ^^^

This is true. Few weeks ago when I was looking for a car I spotted a nice fg xr6 turbo for about 36k, 60k odd km's.

Dealer told me to grab one of these cars cause next year (2010) the xr6t is getting discontinued and Ford will ONLY be building xr8's. I just laughed and left the yard LOL! :beerchug: . Stupid fool, The Xr6 T will not go. He just wanted me to get it haha.

I'd say most dealers know less about cars and science than a true car enthusiast. Some enthusiasts have a degree, many car dealers BS'ed their way through high school. Last dealer I visited didn't know what downshift rev matching was.

After the sales plebs laughed at me for asking to test drive an F6 at 22 years old finally the SALES MANAGER agreed to let test drive my car (exact one I bought) and while on the test drive he told me the turbo only ran 3psi of boost :fool:

:beerchug: Should have got it cheaper for only 3psi boost.

Test drove few Fg xr6t and BF phoons and only 19. Was eyeing of a FG F6 to test drive :laughrolling: but already mention to dealer I had a budget, He just told me to look back at the FG xr6t. haha o well.

I think they look good on the 310, however the dark agents would have been better, but then again at 6ok who really cares.

have owned the r-spec and now the 310 I know which car is better all round regardless of the wheels , I thought the bf was great however the fg is just lightyears ahead.:beerchug:
