There is not tach pin on the obdII connector in a ford. There is no tacho signal as such generated by the Pcm. The data is sent via the can-bus net work and the dash grabs the info it wants off this network.

To get info such as rpm, engine load,,boost etc from the obdII connector you need a

scan tool or scan gauge that can read from the can net work.

You cant pinch a tach signal from the ecu. If you want a tach signal for a tach or shift lift you need a signal convertor that is wired into the crank angle sensor.

The converter takes the signal from the crank sensor(a sine wave) and converts it to o a square wave signal that tachs can read.

(ford motor sport part #m17361-a200)

Or a converter that uses one of the coil outputs from the Pcm such as

MSD Ignition 8913 MSD Tach Driver

Yes and no. You could get a signal from and injector but i personally wouldn't be wiring anything onto and injector driver. The tach shouldn't place any extra load on the drivers but i wouldnt risk it

IRRC the injectors in these cars aren't on/off like a coil signal the are brought on and the pulse varies to around the open/hold stage of the duty cycle. I dont know if this would give you a decent signal or not
