Shocks and springs not an issue. Happened before new ones. Pissed the spare wheel thing out months ago.Bearings are interensting, but I reckon we can discount those in this case.Rear sways..I had the link changed when the shocks were done. Its now a Wholesale Suspeniosn ball joint thingy. The sway are pedders and they bloody creak like buggary. But this aint the noise.I actually though it might be the inners not the outers but then what do I know. When they drop the cradle I'm insisting they swap andif it still makes the noise you will hear me go off from the other side of Melb and I'll get a nice weekend drive to Penrith to see Pat. The balljoint wears and causes knocks just as a front balljoint would.

(Pat be warned, shut the shop and the blinds, you'll be getting a visit soon I think)

Its not just me. And my daughter says I'm making up stuff. He he (says he dancing around the room like a looney). I'm not going bonkers.Ok Heres the deal. I spoke to the workshop foreman on Friday about a quote to do the bushes. For the outers he quoted $240 while the cradle was out but he said 2 but there is 3 to be done so I'll get that updated Tuesday. I'll do the outers and if its still there when I get the car back, well we know its not the outers. An expnsive exercise maybe but I'm at the point where I DON'T CARE.Think of the most annoying thing in your life and your about where I am. My greatsest pelasure, (well one of them ) is driving my car and it is ruined by this bang in the back.Anyway, if you dont like Deisel Geminis, Honda Accord Euro Drivers, or my ex wifes boyfriend then you are on my wavelength. If you like those things, especially the last one, I will see to it you are ejected from this forum for having really, really bad taste. Now leave me ne. I feel about as stable as a Nuclear Power plant with Ray Charles at the controls.

Well my thought anyway.

Thought the wheels were going to come off.Now my car has rear Pedders sway bar with specialist linkages from Wholesale Suspension. These are a ball joint type of thing to replace the standard linkage.I called Pat (senna-t) who is my suspension Guru. After discussing I jacked the car up and went to it with a rubber mallet to see if anything was loose. Nothing. then I realised that with the body jacked up the sway is under tension. So lowered the car and shimmied under the rear and banged again and there ya go the driver side linkage was loose.Removed the sway completely and lubed it and re fitted and tightened all bolts. All bangs are gone.So to cut a liong story short, if you have an unknown bang in the rear, could be loose sway bar. Worth a thought as I don't think anyone suggested that.
