Your just a laugh you is.If it was a crappadore I'd agree (although any car these days tends to fall apart)Seriously though, I complained to my dealer before and they said it was the diff bush. So I have found this is a common fault. So they changed it and guess what? Problem was still there. So stuffed if I know. It was in my previous BA as well. Must be just me. Keep in mind that you can't tell it's f*cked when the wheels are hanging in the air, you got to raise the car by jacking it under the lower control arms so the wheel spring is compressed but the wheel is in the air, if you know what I mean.I'm betting that one. Just had that replaced at 95000km on the car.

I had the same problem, the car was hitting the Bump Stops. I cut the Bump stops about an Inch and problem solved.

Its getting worse though. It used to be every now and then but now its nearly every bump. I guess if I let it go the diff will just fall out and it'll be a case of "Theres ya problem" lol. It would mainly do it when accelerating and decelerating. Take it to a suspension shop and get them to check the rest of the bushes in the back, especially the ball joints. Pedders tell me lower ball joints are worn. SoI book it in under warranty at Ford and they tell me they "are within tolerances". But why should I pay to fix something that should be covered by warranty??I guess the answer is to stuff em and just put better components in despite them.3 visits for service /warranty and they STILL can't tell me what the bang is. Hopeless.
Guest XR09 Guests Posted 05/01/10 04:12 AM Share Posted 05/01/10 04:12 AM 1. Get a written diagnostic/quote from Peddars explaining what they think needs replacing. Or even from your local NRMA/RACQ.2. I doubt any OEM bush is still at 70% of it's natural resistance after 55,ooo k's.I replaced all the bushes that I could on mine at 15,000 when I was in there replacing the dampers and springs.Get a mate to drive or sit in the back and try and isolate it more. Take out all your carpet and shoite in the boot when you do.Mine will clunk when the spring tops the damper over bumps at low speeds as I run a low rebound resistance on the road. So is it a topping noise or a bottoming one ???Are your dampers and springs matched ?

But Ill describe it. Say I hit a crack in the road from 15kph to 60 kph, doesnt matter. The front goes over the crach with a nice wump, then the back wheel or wheels it and its like BANG.Same if I am reversing out of the drive. Sometimes the back will go bang while the front just make the soft wump sound. Now as of dampers, I wouldnt know, although the noise was there before.I just got king springs (non lowered) and bilstein shocks from Perfermance Suspeniosn in Sydney (Penrith) I didnt want adjustable as I would play too much. The pedders idea sounds good and I would love to change all the bushes but would know what to get. I guess I ll message Senna_t and get a list. But does my description help?
