that's one of the many things you need to do, yes.

Do a search on user Ninka, he did a swap from a 4 speed auto to a 6 speed, wasnt exactly performed over a weekend with a few mates over and a lunchtime bbq......

I have zf I am keen on swapping for a t56. I think its pretty straight forward apart from mine being a ute so will need a manual out of a ute or the tail shaft wont match.

Things need to swap.

- Gearbox

- Loom

- tail shaft

- Ecu (tuner can help with that one as it should be just reprogramming the xcal to new ecu and re-flashing)

- Pedal box

- Gear knob and surround.

Have I missed anything? I am only going on what I have researched so far.

Going from any auto to manual = piece of cake. Been done many times.

Going from manual to bw 4 speed or zf auto = nightmare central.

Going from bw 4 speed auto to zf 6 speed auto = nightmare as well. Been done only once as far as im aware.

Doing a swap could affect your resale as well. Some people would notice the dash difference and be questioning it.
