All the guys that are punching reasonable numbers out of their FG T's are you still running standard oil pump gears or have you fitted something stronger?

What would the safe limits of the standard gears be bearing in mind keeping a standard rev limit?

I got standard equipment and rev limit is 6050 not a problem yet...... that in mind theres no real point of revving to 6050 as 5500 is where the ideal shift is anyway.

Some say pump gears and pick up flow have been improved, but to what extent I don't know.

The standard rev limit/cut is very sharp so avoid hitting it... as kics said, 5500 is a nice change point for the stock turbo.

Since changing the turbo on mine it will hit the rev cut very fast if trying to manual shift it... the top end's so fat it loves to rev now!

Bump? FG any better than BF ? May need to buy some just for peice of mind. I've ordered my new motor today (FG F6) and Dave brought it to my attention that I could do the oil pump b4 the motor went back in. Unfortunately I spent all (I mean all) of my money on the motor.
