Well,Give us your thoughts on going back to V8 power compared to the T,What was the reason for changing so quickly apart from excessive amounts of folding stuff. Guest xr6 turbo Guests Posted 25/09/03 09:24 AM Share Posted 25/09/03 09:24 AM I've just done the same thing, sold a XRT sedan for a XR8 sedan. As for a comparison between the two I feel that the XRT has more grunt when on boost and definitely a lot lighter in the front end. The XRT feels more refined than the XR8 because the engine is a lot smoother. The main reason for the change was the V8 sound and for towing. My last few cars have been V8's so in a way I think I missed the V8's progessive torque. I would have to admit I miss that rush you get when the boost comes on. I might have to turbocharge the 8. Guest PHNTUM Guests Posted 25/09/03 10:03 AM Share Posted 25/09/03 10:03 AM Well I loved the XR6 Turbo and wish I could have them both after all on the last dyno day at dyson rotary my car made 214rwkw with only BMC Air filter.I have never had a V8 and always wanted one and after an attractive change over price of $1450 I couldn't say no. The only thing I losted in the deal was premuim brakes and painted engine bay. After driving a V8 it definaly has more torque now sure about the power yet will tell after thrashing it some more. Guest PHNTUM Guests Posted 25/09/03 11:23 AM Share Posted 25/09/03 11:23 AM Yes the picture above is photochopped cos the wheels have to come from the states and there is a few months delivery. Once they are on the car I will post a pick.
