Just got a amp installed with a set of splits and 6" speakers...sounds ok, bit too much treble so im getting a sub installed. One problem...I hear this constant "XXXXXXXXXXXX" noise when the volume is low, its even their when I turn the volume to zero...its not rediculously loud but its noticeable and it definately wasnt their with the factory stereo...any ideas what it could be???

ps sorry for the noise description, its the only way I could write it haha

Sounds like your installer has done a bad job. Did they put in an amp to run the speakers, or just put the new speakers in the doors with the factory speaker cables?

Hi, I have the exact same issue with a recently installed cache coe6 Line Level converter, Diamond Audio Hex Amp, Diamond Audio splits, and Diamond Audio Sub. The stereo sounds great - with the volume turned up! At lower levels there's a very obvious amount of noise. No amount of messing with the line levels on the cache unit or amp can eliminate it. Not cheap rubbish gear, so everything is pointing to the factory head unit. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions for us both??

hhhmmmm - take it back and get them to check the grounding, and cable/line runs...

sounds like there is some feedback/cross talk coming from somewhere..

But it could be a hhhhhhmmmmmmmmm sound, maybe a aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh, or rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, or ttttttttttt....

Which should be fixable - just as long as its not a pppffftttt - FARTTTTT sound! otherwise u better duck and run!!!

:stirthepot:

just hope its not the amp!
