Australia accounts for less than 1% of all global emmissions. Even if we halve our current production, the world's emissions fall .05% - In the time it would take us to effectively halve our emmissions, the rest of the world would be increasing output due to growth thus negating any benefit that we have achieved. The impact on the so called "problem" would not even be seen... although KRUDD would have some new interantional buddies on his christmas card list...

What good is a country of clean industry if none of us can afford to eat? to build a house? to grow a business?

Senate has not met Wrong/Krudds deadline for a vote today @ 3.45pm

Liberals implode

- If Talkbull quits and passes the batten we get Hockey as Opposition Leader

- If Talkbull fights and loses we get Abbott as Opposition Leader

Likely outcomes , further debate next week, would make it now unlikely for legislation to pass through the senate and get approved

by the house prior to Copenhagen. Will probably get referred to a Senate comittee for further discussion/debate.

The feedback and emails to Senators and Liberal pollies in the many thousands by lifelong Liberal voters ready to bail on the party and

Talkbulls reticense to listen to electoral sentiment have been a key factor in some changes in some individual's position over the past 48 hours

All kudos to the voters and radio 2GB who have really made a difference. These guys totally dominate Sydney radio in the daytime slots.

I know jack about global warming/cooling or whatever right?.....

But Mrs. Bionic has a science degree and explains it this way....

A little bit of science....CO2 is a bit strange in the way it dissolves.

With most things, such as sugar, the warmer the water, the more it dissolves.

With CO2, the colder the water, the more it dissolves. So there is heaps in the ocean depths and at the poles. As the currents move and the water circulates up to the surface (takes about 8oo years), more CO2 is released into the atmosphere.

So how can an ETS stop something that happened 800 years ago???

Oh by the way, if the level of CO2 falls below 200ppm - we die. :spoton:

that's right it's why certain greenhouse growers even use co2 production machines to increase the co2 inside greenhouses to make a very markable increase in plants health and rate of growth ,

ps what happened to the ozone layer wasn't that supposed to be gone by now well that's if you beleived all the hype 10yr ago

This is an interesting link. When you listen to the content Rudd is a treasonous scum and should be hung. From the Alan Jones Show incredibly important. This filthy little bugger is unbelievable. At least Howard knew it was a crock and wouldn't buy into it. What have all you Krud voters done to us?

2GB Media Player - Is the Copenhagen treaty about creating a world government?

Yep.

It was pretty clear that either Rudd was insane or that there was another agenda.

The treating a smoking gun pointing to the true agenda.

Interestingly enough the triumph of opinion over experimenatal result which was a direct case of the Dark Ages was also the result of a then government initiative of the time.

The Roman emperor Constantine decided to that the empire should get religion, Christianity, and as a result the Holy Roman Empire was born.

Whist Constantine is a declared saint, there is no evidence whatsoever that he actually believed in the religion he foisted on to the empire.

Speculation is that it was a means to extend control of the state into the household by frightening and thereby controlling the population.

Yep.

Its the usual gig, tell the population that they are no good (sin) that you are better (priest) and that unless they pay sacrafice (tax) the world will end pronto, you know in Egypt it was the sun would fail to rise, in other places the wolf would eat the sun (eclips) yada yada.

In the case of the so called human induced global warming there is no experiment as such just a bunch of measurements onto which are grafted endless almost arbitrary correction factors and computer models which are themselves arbitraty assumptions codified into computer language.

The correction factors and computer models are not strictly arbitrary however because they are there primarily to make certain the data comes out the way it should, I.e. the data comes out in a forms that ensures the next research grant comes in - from the Government - which is of course driving the new emission trading tax. The Governemnt needs to

For the scientists it is a case of make the data show human global warming exists or else you are and idiot and your out of a job and a career.

Science now operates luke a a pro sport, its about money and profile in order to make more money. Comply, follow the rules bring in the bucks make the sponsors happy or your out.

Regards,

aa
