FAST-XR EVIL T Member 259 Member For: 16y 15d Gender: Male Location: Liverpool NSW Posted 26/11/09 01:34 AM Share Posted 26/11/09 01:34 AM Ok, I have a crossover replacement pipe, and I have a temporary dose pipe setup until the cooler kit goes on. im running the 8psi generic tune...I have an the oil breather line connected to the dose pipe (its almost 2m long as it runs around the back of the engine bay under the coolant tank and into the dose pipe, im not sure if the length is a problem...)but yesterday I felt the car wasnt feeling right, I looked under the bonnet and saw oil all over the intake manifold, the dipstick popped up and allowed oil to spray everywhere...Why has this happened? and how can I stop it happening again?I was thinking of attaching an extension spring to hold the dipstick down, but id like to fix the cause before I just put something there to force the dipstick in place...thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Melbourne Posted 26/11/09 05:42 AM Share Posted 26/11/09 05:42 AM I’d say because you have your breather hooked up to the dose pipe, when you back off the throttle the turbo pressurises the engine. I didnt flog it at all and the only thing it could have been was the bumpy road knocking it out. when I got there it was actually back in its place, they are loose as in fitment.
