That's because the front wheel speed is slightly different to the rears while it's on the dyno. Should be all back to normal after it's restarted though

Hey, thanks dash.

Q. is it healthy for these systems when the car is run on the Dyno, I know that when I start Driving after a run on the dyno it takes about 5-6 minutes before all my dash control lights resume to normal.

Good Question..

At the factory we had to turn off the TC/DSC when putting them on a rolling road.. something I would definately do if I was to Dyno.

I'm not sure with the FG, best person would be bunna, he still works there and would know from the rolling road in his area what the procedure is.. I imagine it should all be fine if its turned off..

I read on here that in the FG you have to tap the brake pedal first to engage the cruise control. From someone who has actually read an owners manual

like tab said.. it checks that the brake pedal switch is working before it lets cruise control turn on.. you only need to have used the brakes at some stage between starting it and turning on cruise..

I have had an issue with this on country roads.. stop for a piss.. start the car, drive back on the road and haven't touched the brakes (manual not auto).. only time anyone would notice I reckon..

and no offence intended, but the only time I have ever heard dash and turbo in the same sentence was also with roger and cordia, so I may be way off track here.

Can someone clear something up for me.... I am a little confused by the operation of the traction control or more accurately whether the switch really is actually relevant. I've seen some members say when they are in the mood they turn off their TC and light it up. I personally fail to see how this is possible as when the TC is in theory switched off when I jump on it, TC still comes on trying to save the day. I really wish my sedan was the same as the ute and didn't have it installed period. Is this the case or is my traction control broken? When it is on the light stays on the dash 24/7. When it is off the light is off but as soon as a little wheelspin starts, on it comes. My sedan is BA same as my ute and I noticed the same behaviour in an N/A BF XR6 that I hired while in Perth a couple of years ago.

Well from what you just said it sounds like its working backwards. I dont know about the BA's but would of thought they arent any different to the BF. Now you said when you TC is ON the light is always ON, for me when TC is ON the lights is always OFF and Flashes when it is operating to stop a skid. Now when TC is OFF for me the light is always ON and it doesnt intefer at all.

So if what you said in your statement is right and it isnt any diff to a BF then it sounds like your turning it on to do a skid and off to drive normally.

Hope this helps.

:beerchug:

Light on permanently = TC off, either because you've held the button down for two seconds to turn it off...or it's given up

Light flashing = currently active

Is the same across BA, BF & FG

The purpose isn't to thrash my car or skid so to speak, I just find the TC extremely annoying and it's the first thing I switch off in any car I get into, same as the annoying downhill assist that some cars also have. I called Ford explained the same thing to them and they said sounds like something isn't right and to bring it in. Thanks for clearing that up lads.

$50 for Ford to "reset" my system, I'm going to be annoyed if all they did was disconnect the battery. Anyhow now if I turn it off the light is on fulltime and happy days no flickering light and no traction control. Once again thank you for your input.
