Posted 29/12/09 04:41 AM Author Share Posted 29/12/09 04:41 AM Today I have some free time so I pulled the trim apart to put in the new Mal woods short throw shifter and thought id have a peak at the leak.I pulled it apart as much as I could with out getting behind the ICC. So all plastics and entire centre console and pulled back the carpet. No visible pipes of hoses at all let alone one that should be holding water. It seems to be a major pull apart to unblock the said tube. I also think the dripping only happens when the car is in motion and corning must be a factor. I ran the car for 10 mins or so with the air con pumping and there was no noticeable water coming down from anywhere to narrow down the search. Its going to have to be a visit to Ford for this, although im going to ask to have a look once they locate it.

Posted 20/01/10 08:15 AM Author Share Posted 20/01/10 08:15 AM Good news!!!!!!!!!There is a fix, although mine is not fixed yet as the dickheads waited until I bought the ute in to order the parts which take 2 weeks from Melbourne. They have known I was coming for 3 weeks. For those of you who have this problem this is what you need, part number BA18B539ASF, Seal Kit Air Con. The monkeys can read about the fix on their Tech Talk Hotline in May 2009.Something about some foam and a seal is the problem not the drain hose backing up in the FG. Its a different problem to the ones experienced in the the B series.

Or a potential issue with sedans as well?
