The rego papers should state if its registered to the police but it may have already entered the private market since then so im not sure.

Mine's ex police and has the heavy duty tow pack as it was used specifically for towing

I'm hoping the ZF box doesn't have any hidden problems. It's been great so far (towed a bit, stock power).

This is the car.

Now, my mate who drives a BF MkII XR6T has mentioned that this car looks like its a mixture of style packs.

It has the coloured striping on the side/front/rear skirts but it has different rims. I was positive that the rims on this vehicle are actually 17s and not 18s - will check Wed night.

If so, there's a fair bet that either the dealer or the prior owner has swapped out the rims for some BA/BF MkI rims...

Still seems a bit dear. Redbook values them at 28k if they've done 25,000km. I suppose it is an 08 model though. I got mine for 27k with under 30,000km (07 model) with premium pack. You should be able to knock a few grand off I would have thought.

Mine's BFII with same rims. They are 17s. only the "update" you are looking at got the coloured centre dimple rims I think. I like em! Like the whole update look actually. Mad on white/orange/bright colours

edit: I'd guess cops would option standard 17's.

Those look like standard bf mk2 rims which are 17s. At some point in 2007 they did the update which added the premium sound and bodykit to all sedans. So those pics dont tell us if it was or wasnt a chaser.

I've just found out it is a chaser.

There are no marks on the seats, in/around the dash, the boot, the door seals and the engine bay - well none that I could see.

Damn... For a chaser its really unmarked, however I'm nervous about getting it even at a reduced price due to the premature wear on the engine/turbo etc...

I'm in WA, it's a little hard to pop over in the arvo, see the vehicle and take it for a drive.

Keep looking mate. I flew 2000kms to test drive my car. Loved it and drove it 2000kms home. Don't let distance get in the way of the right car.

Oh, and I was searching for about 3 months before I found it. Dont be impatient and end up with something less than what you wanted.
