Was wondering if the new fg f6's in manual come with a launch control system like the new hsv range does? If not has anyone on here had one set up for the xr6t or f6 and does anyone know of any good companies or items I should look out for thanks.

Yes the FG F6 and XR6T has launch control.

Put in gear, floor throttle and then dump clutch.

The RPM will stick to 4,000 and then take off like stink.

the launch control in the hsv is very average, mostly axle tramps in a straight line. so check that side of things out. good item to look out for is icabin ajustable tiens, and decent sway bars. imo.

does it seem to bog down, or does it axle tramp ? sounds interesting. be good to compare.

It's closer to 3500rpm for launch control.

Yes if you side step the clutch it will bog and then go but to get the launch control system to work to your advantage you will need to modulate the clutch pedal until you get going.

It takes a bit of practice but once you get it sorted it is a good thing.

Downside is you will get axle tramp with the stock suspension. Better springs and shocks will cure it but nevertheless there is still finess involved in getting the system to work in your favour.

Not sure how much the stock clutch will handle either.

Sounds good I am looking into custom sway bars and I am upgrading the clutch and suspension as well so it should all run smoothly, I think its good that it takes some skill to get good at using the launch control system makes driving all the more interesting thanks guys the information on this forum from the users on here is always very helpful there is such a good community behind the ford scene. :hiall:
