Stunner,

Im running on just pure research, no testing. The SCART cable im not 100% on, because im not sure how it pugs into the xbox. I would think getting a scart extension cable and lopping and end off would do the trick, as it would be able to fit the plug needed for the ICC and carry the sound signals up to the stereo aswell.

But as with my plans at the moment im not 100 percent. ill keep you posted!

Mitch

Wait a bit - everything is at a very very early stage of DIY development. If you're not a full on techo-geek prepared to blow things up this is NOT the time to get involved.

*grins* Once things are more tested, and more fully documented will be safer....

I'll try and post up some pics over the next week showing the xbox setup. (keeping in mind I haven't plumbed the box permanently into the car yet)

Hi Aaron, I was wondering what progress you have made for the Xbox mod. I already have a mod chip in my xbox and the relevant software running. I just need to know how to get the video hooked up through the ICC? Have you had this successfully running yet and if so can you post a detailed description of the steps you took to complete this mod? Much appreciated. Thanks

*nods* It's all explained in the Ford-Mods threads. Xbox RGB cables (asuming you get the 'right' one - work fine ;)

I've been static on development in this area while I design/source parts for the new power supply unit to run the xbox off 12v without inverters and the like. Also doing it in a manner that survives crank (when battery voltage drops to potentially about 8v)....

I may do the screen stuff over the next couple of weeks just so the wiring is in place in the car - once I choose the final mounting location etc etc

aaron can you direct me to the appropraite thread on the fordmods site? also if the information I require is not there, I really need someone to explain it better, I dont really udnerstand what the cable I need looks like, so maybe if someone could post me a pic of it (from both ends) it would help, then I could figure out the rest.
