So Voy.... where did you service your car?

In metro Adelaide, or are you up in the Riverland?

$440 sounds a bit too steep for me.

Bottom line, if you're not satisfied, Don't go back there again.... and let them know why.

I was even peeved off slightly with my bill too. I was told of the costs when I dropped the car off, only to have additional costs put on the bill when I picked it up.

What's this oil disposal levy about? $9.80 to dispose of my used oil?

Anyway, I'll be doing my own oil changes for the next couple of unscheduled services at 20k and 25k.

cheers

G'day voy7456. I had my 15000km's service done yesterday with no oil or filter change , and a warranty issue ( suspect overboost , re limp mode) & it only cost me $42.65 incl . I would definately be asking said service dealer for a PLEASE EXPLAIN !! what is the go with the dealerships aren't they all flying the same flag !!

pic's below of my invoice.

all the best EXR24T.

I paid $196.55 including wheel rotation and balance which was $27, was quoted over the phone $180 for 15000km service only, so was pleasantly surprised that it came in at that price. Correct oil included and my oil disposal cost was only $4.75. Looks like there is no standard pricing when it comes to servicing and it pays to shop around.

Voy, you got reemed big time! :glad:

$200 is the most it should have cost you.

FYI, my 15k service was only $114... but that's at fleet pricing and ex GST.

that was including the oil change cause they had already done it by the time I phoned back. That also included a wheel alignment and balance...when I get home 2nite I'll scan all the pages I have here and post em up.

Mrs z's previous car, an ea multipoint, used to cost about $1000 per service......cos it used to blow a head gasket so often, it never made it to the scheduled services!

I'll be interested to see the scan of your bill, Voy.....hard to see how it could possibly cost that much.
