not one to harp on,or condone the use of alchahol, but Stevie Ray Vaughan had addictions to both.At one stage using up to 7 grams of coke a day as well as drinking upwards of 2 litres of bourbon daily

After he cleaned up he feared he would be unable to play as before, how wrong he was

I used to sniff a lot of coke, then they changed the shape of the ringpull and my nose kept getting caught in the can- :D

Here are some that would knock the socks off a lot of artists previously mentioned..

Sorry dude but IMHO Bruce Kulick, (KISS), kicks Ace Freehley drunken arse. Kiss still rock though (old or new).

OK, my list of guitarists I really hate, as they rock beyond belief.

George Lynch: Dokken/Lynch Mob)

Alex Skolnick: Savatage (Ex Testament)

John Petrucci: Dream Theatre (One of the best guitarist anywhere, won most original artist a couple of years back)

Jake E Lee: Badlands (Ex Ozzy Osbourne).

Zak Wylde: Ozzy Osbourne.

Eddie Van Halen

Garry Moore

Joe Satriani

Shall I go on?

Then there are the 2 Gods IMO that are "Resting In Peace"?

Chris Oliva: Savatage (My Idol in guitar playing, was :tears: a brilliant speed player).

Rhandy Rhoads : (Of course).

Shall I go on? I could forever.

Agree with your honourable mention of Denis "Iceman" Tek from

RadioBirdman,plays brilliantly with Chris Masuak.

If you like good hard Aussie rock, check these legends out.Had the privelage of seeing them live in Sydney last year ( 3 times )

White Tee

Denis is my one of my brother in law's best mates, as well as Rob Younger, Brad Shepherd just to name a few.

My brother in law was the bass player for The Johnnies and the Allnighters. He is now the production manager at ACP for mags such as Motor, Wheels, Street Machine and SPEED.

Dr Denis was a doctor as well as a pilot in the USAF.

He is a muscle car freak and wrote a song about Woodward Avenue in Detroit. SD455 was the song (pity it's about a TransAm) but it shows that he loves big tyres, big gas bills and big horsepower!

Krash, since you like iron maiden that much, which album is "Sign of the Cross" on.

Love that song, and no body knows the album name....

I thinks it's X factor and the singer was Blaze Bailey (who I didn't like that much at all). That songs kewl. I know most of the bass line for it :)

KISS RULE:blush:

As a (former) drummer and songwriter in a rock band here on the Goldie some time ago (not tellin), my music is pretty varied.

I can't believe no-one seems to have got on their knees and thanked the most ingenious guitarist......Jimi Hendrix. Dude that bloke rocked.

Also Australia's best electric guitarist.....Phil Emanuel... His bro gets the publicity, but Phil blows everyone away with his electric axe.

I've seen KISS unmasked, masked, unplugged, and masked again. And yes, I even got into the face painting thing myself back in the late 70s.
