Hi Guys,

Long time reader, firstish time posting.

Firstly wanted to start off by saying thx to all the members on this site, has filled in much of my research of the car :beerchug:

But one thing I cant seem to find a definitive answer to exactly what is included in the typhoon bottom end from BFs > 06/06.

Whats exactly is the difference between say an XR6T BF made in April compared to one made in July? As im looking to buy atleast a BF or higher I really need to know what is different.

Been saving for a while now and its time to start getting serious about buying one :)

Many thanks in advance, looking forward to your replies.

Cheers,

Joel

conrods too, in bas they were getting bent or similar.

also all bfs had better valve springs from 2005 but on or after 06/06 the used better pistons and conrods as well. I heard they were used for dedicated gas engines to allow for the more power (explosion rather) internal combustion gas engines made hense the need for stronger internals.

Rods = conrods.

Pistons were the same all the way through BA and BF for all turbo engines.

E Gas conrods are the same as the XRT/F6 ones. E Gas engines used the stronger rods because during early testing they would bend the standard rods if the engine backfired.
