I know dre is. 350 through a ba bottom end wont necessarily kill it instantly but your engine is guaranteed to fail sooner not later. Same goes for not running a surge tank. The law of physics still applies to an FG. Its not if but when. The right condition for your engine to lean out and bye bye fg.

FG's have been out for 4 years and can't think of a single one that's blown because of lack of fuel at 320, it's just hype.Agree they are a good thing and necessary with more power but don't think they are a must have at 320, like people are saying. I'm just going to do what every other FG XR owner has done for the last 4 years without dramas and upgrade the fuel pump and spend the $1000 on something else.I'm sure other people will continue to do this too. As others have said its piece of mine knowing that you don't have to always think "sh*t how much fuel have I got?" before giving it a poke. Stock or 400kw you can still get your car to surge if you boot it up a hill or around a corner, I know this for a fact.So if your spending money on mods and a tune, why not save a little more and just put one in for the insurance. The big difference is yours has holes where the thread of the screw pulls against. This will cut into the rubber over time.Secondly, Im sure those clamps were only for show when kev made the unit, but he ships his surge tanks with clamps where you need a special kind of pliers to lock. Although in saying that, those hose clamps are suitable and will not cut into the rubber as there is no holes for the thread.
