Just registering that I like Danny's posts as I can't use the "like this" button

Too many people read stuff on forums like this one and many many others, and think they can make the best decision because somebody else has claimed it worked for them.

The aeromotive is a good piece of gear, So with your powerlevels I'll suggest it should be fine, as long as it does not lean out on e85 on the dyno (your tuner should hook up a pressure/flow guage to your fuel rail return to determine if your fuel pump is running out of flow on e85. obviously you haven't speculated what injector you have, which also plays a part in deciding if this setup is suitable or not.

The stock rail and reg is "ok", but in saying that, there are issues. The std reg can not bleed off enough fuel when it is not required, so you have excessively rich idle/low loads. at high loads its fine.

A duel feed fuel raid wouldn't work well in your situation, You only have 1 pump. If you split that into two, I don't really see a large advantage of this over single feeding.

However, I do recommend you get a aftermarket fuel reg like the turbosmart fpr1200 instead of the std one, esp with the a1000.

Will definately look into getting a better fuel reg, thanks for the advice Danny, it's guys like you that make this an awesome site.

I feel for people like you mick.. Dealing with exactly what I described on a daily basis as you run a workshop as your lifeline. Personally this is also one of the reasons why I never went into this full time.

Alot of information on forums is very misleading, people describe what they've done, what they've got. but when someone else reads it, either information is missing, or they assumed its not done.

People must understand, half of what they read is bullsh*t, the other half of what they read is lies! :P

Without sitting down and thinking about it, I'd almost say with e85, I'm sure your top end mixtures would be lean, or starting to go lean.. 80's just dont cut it (I originally had them, and I do believe I found 400rwkw on e85 was there about the limit).

so what are the ute guys supposed to do, seeing as the intank is hard to get to with the tub?

I have a fg...so 300-330kw would the surge be ok with the stock pump?

Changing a UTE is more involved than a sedans fuel pump, but still possible.

Sure it would be difficult to do it yourself at home.. But heck, I would rather people not install their own intank fuel pumps, and then come to me for a tune.

I've got a perfect example of this, a car came to me, a BF F6, he listened to me on what kit to install (he purchased and installed himself), infact, he listened 100% to everything I told him he needed, he bought, and fitted it all. So I was impressed with his attitude towards this.. Sure, I could have done it all and charged him fitting costs.. But why take that from a car enthusiast who likes tinkering with his own car.

I tuned the car on the dyno, went well, made great power for such simple mods, I believe it was 360rwkw on the first dyno pull, with a final tune of 377rwkw.

I took it for a test drive, came back to the workshop I hired the dyno from. Went to move the car again to drive it for the customer, and fail, the car did not start. I could hear the intank fuel pump working, but it was a different pitch, so I knew straight away the fuel line came off.

Hence why I would rather do this type of install.. Being the lifeline for the engine, what if the line had started to come off, and started running lean instead of totally falling off? Bang goes the engine. Lucky in this instance, it just came straight off.

I purchased the 80's for a good price but will be going a 100 lb Bosch as this was Spiro's preferred choice, will also be installing a innovate wideband af ratio gauge to keep an eye on things.
