R-SPEC You are a dead set goose Silver Donating Members 3,968 Member For: 19y 1m 12d Gender: Male Location: Melbourne Posted 05/02/10 06:18 AM Share Posted 05/02/10 06:18 AM You'll have major problems controlling boost with no wastegate porting or larger swing valve with a dump and large cat no matter how good your actuator is (by the way, get a 12 or 15psi actuator, not 10!). You've just got to spend the money on it otherwise you'll be forced to keep boost down which will rob you of power output. There's no point doing a 4" housing, spend that money on a wastegate port and keep the turbo standard. The only thing is I've seen people get into trouble with having a split dump and a larger swing valve. As it swings open to bypass gasses it can get jammed by the small dump pipe. You may need to flog it off and get a single 4" dump in future...Also I wouldn't bother with the valve springs. Get boost sorted first, then if things start to shake, get springs Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
