Try the fix we apply in plant - take the seat belt buckle and the latch, combine, and voila!

Its there for the 5 star safety rating, not sure why you'd remove it? Nevertheless I'll make some enquiries failing someone else knowing

This is not written in the Handbook but cycling the key 9 times in one minute will disable it permanently I believe.

Easy to find out for sure but I reckon that's bollocks - we've had checks online where we've cycled ignition far more than 9 times in quick succession and I haven't seen any cars without the bloody beeping (or warranty indicating it). Proof of the pudding though...

This procedure works on the BA (I have tried it), have not tried it on the BF or FG. Worth a go however, the system is far more integrated now so I suspect it to be a totally different setup.

1) Buckle the seatbelt

2) Turn the Ignition switch to the On position, without starting the engine.

3) Press and hold the Hazard Switch

4) Whilst the Hazard switch is depressed, Unbuckle, then buckle the seatbelt

5) Release the Hazard light switch

I do not condone driving without a seatbelt, they save lives. However, very few people die at 5kph driving into and out of their garage. The can however be driven mad by that damn chime.

There's a very simple way to do it on territory (just unclip your buckle within 3 seconds on putting it in) but as for FG the only real way to do it is unplug the wiring harness (not sure what else this affects and therefore I don't condone it!)

Take a good pair of sizzors, get a taxi somewhere, get in the back and viola. You have the key to stop the chime.

Unless it needs the double latch the fronts have. Then you have to be tricky and take the passenger one.

Or better still next time you are arrested ......lol
