hey everyone

thought id start this little topic up relating to hot sweaty summer days just around the corner, which are sure enough going to have an affect not only on us but also our beloved cars :)

so what are your little tips and solutions to keeping her running smooth and clean while giving you that thrill of joy in any weather conditions we are yet o face...

so my little tips and well not so surprising pointers are these simple little steps.

1, change your oil and let it run smooth

2, keep consistent with petrol eg. for me 98ron BP ultimate

3, check all fluids and and oils

4, keep your tyre's pressurized

5, give your boost solenoid a good clean-out

6, flush the radiator

7, give the intercooler a scrub

8, wash your car on a weekly basis keeping it protected from the sun (use a high quality washing gel)

9, throttle bottle clean

10, and if u can get a minor service done to check all the above is running nice and smooth :)

11, and for all of us a case of beer and a air-conditioning re-gassing (if u find yourself sweating it out)

sorry if it seems a little over dramatic but just wanted to share my input and u r all more than welcome to share urs and give me some extra pointers on what ever u do to keep your car running smooth this summer

my plan is to get rid of the factory piping and get a better intercooler fitted, run the same boost as I have now and every thing should run cooler.

I'm not touching a thing or spending a cent.

My car is stock and I live in a high temp, high humidity area.

No need to waste money on things that aren't required.

Yeah I've been thinking I should remove the rubber from the base of the bonnet area to let some heat out, have read it works ok on the forums here!
