It's personal preference what one you go with. I would be doing the cooler if I was you. With the mods that you said you were going to do you should see some nice results and a cooler will help on those hot days.Get rid of the stock cross over and go with a full cooler kit. Although I would not think that an F6 cooler would be. So what benefit would an F6 cooler give.
