Hi guys

I have a problem with my car recently with slow boost rise, and cannot find any boost leaks, My car was going very well, torque was up, the car was very responsive.

Its a BA xr6t mk2 with full xforce exhaust, custom tune, injectors ,monza cooler, f/pump, stock bov (vented with mini filter),cai making around 340 rwkw ( power varies)

Now I have lost basically all my down low power and most of my midrange. Car still goes ok but no where near as it used to. As the boost raises it goes to 10, then 12, then 13, then eventually goes to 15, but its like the boost "hops" there... Before it was so clean and ran straight to 15psi. Car does not surge and vaccum sits at -20 at idle.

Please help,

thanks, Tonyv.

il have a look at that,

since last week it has gone more sluggish.

Could it be my stock bov? or are they fine

If your building boost slowly then the boost solenoid might be the culprit. Can't imagine the bov being the issue. You can always remove it and block the hoses up to rule that out.

Ive been speaking to a friend of mine, and he suggested that my cat may have melted due to the fact I run octane booster every tank and when I get down to 1/4 tank I put a full bottle in all the time..

plugs are probably rooted if you have been using that much booster it sends them a yuck brown colour

throw in a new set gapped to 0.8mm that might fix it up

plugs had been changed 1,600 k's ago but il take a look tonight, But the car isnt cutting out at all.

The car is smooth on boost but just takes a few seconds longer to hit full boost, even on a hard hit of acceleration when downgearing.
