You managed to 'anticipate' the speed limit change pretty well yet you didn't manage to anticipate the sorts of responses you were gonna get?! Imagine a fellow member had a family member killed by some equally clairvoyant driver who anticipated the increase too... Then talk about how hard done by you are that you might not be able to drive your precious car when the sun's outI don't reckon you'll get much sympathy mate

Most people will do exactly as you have and anticipate the speed change however sounds like you jumped the gun a bit.In Queensland, I think that it is 200m.... It could be something to look into.. Guest XR09 Guests Posted 09/11/09 09:29 AM Share Posted 09/11/09 09:29 AM (edited) Amazing isn't it.I think they should drop the fines completely !!!!Get the dick heads to come out one night with us and pull a few dead bodies out of a car. or scrape up someone. Or come with us while we go tell the parents, wives, children and lovers.I suppose you think that if you are playing footy the other team should not tackle you because ??? you are you ????I left because I could not handle the death.I come home from work every day to be a carer for my brother who was totaled in a car crash, waiting at a set of lights. And brain dead in his 18 wheeler was only doing 15 k over the speed limit and could not pull up, well till he was sitting on top of my brothers Ute shoving an oxy bottle through his head.Yeh you have to be a little f%cked up in the head to be a copper. But your a total loser for whingeing if you get caughtYou can do as you say, and stall it and go to court. Now you have what a $250 fine and three months loss max. Mr beak will give you a $500 fine $175 in court costs and 6 months loss. If you are lucky Ps it's the other side of the speed sign they cant deploy on. Edited 09/11/09 09:30 AM by XR09

You were doing 80 in a 50 zone, it doesnt matter if the 100 zone was 10 metres away.he was doing more than 80 and would have been toldMate of mine got pulled on Tom Ugly's the other day, was doing 85. He put his hand up, apologised to the copper, and subsequently got his fine reduced to the first bracket, instead of the one he should have received.very commonAttitude is everything.I couldnt agree moreTrevs, I could have given you enough advice to hold the ticket up for more than 6 months but then again I could be an asshole....I'm still undecided.take the good behaviour licence at 1 point for 12 months. also your previous driving has obviously led to this point.I.B. ZAP No boost, no bottle, just my foot on the throttle! Lifetime Members 7,935 Member For: 20y 8m 28d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 09/11/09 09:36 AM Share Posted 09/11/09 09:36 AM There are several procedures in the SOPs that police do not like the public to know about. What sort of method did they use to measure your speed ?Was there any cars infront or behind you ?In NSW there are regulations on how close they can book you in a change of speed sign. Essentially if you can read the change of speed sign, then the speed applies. There is no magic line on the road that says it is not safe to do 50km/h on one side and 100km/h the other. If it is as you stated, I would fight it, as NSW is easier than VIC on getting off fines for speeding. They will review the matter, read your letter out in court and decision will be pending.Worst case nothing will happen, matter stands and it cost you an extra 100$ and time to write the letter.Hard luck - speeding well, it happens and I bet my farking arse that each and every single one of the people who have posted here have also been speeding at one point or another. Be it intentional for fun or whatever reason, or error, miss judgment, or unknowingly. I know doctors, lawyers, and even cops themselves that speed. Being a road user is not always the easiest thing to be 100% sure your doing the perfect thing - simple as that. We would have all at one time or another done something wrong. Simple as that!Getting court or not is another situation, so try to understand they may appear to be 'arseholes' but hey just skip there posts bud!Good luck with the outcome and my comment is not intended to start any sort of debate.
