Generally im just not around that much anymore and only a few titles grab my attention nowadays. I do look at others but these ones seem to have so many more myths attatched to them.

Living on the absolutely beautiful Sunshine Coast, I have now witnessed an absolute diversity of cars attempting to entrap motorists. The reason that I use such a blunt term is because we lose far more people, about 50% more per year from alcohol withdrawal (yes people trying to give up the grog) than we do from road accidents. Unfortuneately the powers to be do see this as an issue (a legitmate way to raise revenue)( the the police officers out ther I understand that u need to pay bills, but you are influenced to believe certain things, so do not think that this is debatable, but if you have a need, I will be more than happy to enter in acedemic discussions, but basic police training is not considered, must be University level min) . Anyway back to my point, the police due to the speed camera retrictions currently in place, are using high performance, new cars to entrap motorists. I have seen to date a black 300c, a silver and burgundy subaru B series turbos, XR6T ute, VW r32 (red), and a GT (white). However when you get up close to these cars you can see the QPS drivers. My advice is be very wary of any new model preformance car, Cheers

I think the only way to assure yourself that you wont do rediculous speeds is to buy a car that's very gutless like an auto fiesta.. These cars are to easy to get into trouble with and too hard not to sink the boot every so often. Can anyone on this forum that has spent the dollars and modded their xr6t honestly say they just pot around in it and stick to the speed limits all the time? Im not talking about street racing, burnouts or heroic gatherings just driving when theirs nobody else around you. Do you give it stick to remind you where your moneys gone or just wait till Calder finally opens to go for a thrash. Its going to get to the point where its pointless having a fast street car if you have to contend with jacks in hoon cars and radar binoculars that can pick you off 1km away. Buy a standard falcon and buy a fast boat might be my next option and maybe just build a purpose built drag car that cant be driven on the street.

Yep, I got a POS charade as a daily. I actually dont mind having everyone overtake me, cos at least I know my licence is safe when I drive it.

So what if QLD lose 50% more people from Alcohol Withdrawal than you do from road accidents.

I dont know what you mean by Alcohol Withdrawal as I dont know anyone who has died from NOT drinking.

How many of them though kill innocent people by these actions??? that's the point isn't it. Not killing themselves but others.

Remember the police are the ones that actually see the results of people doing stupid stuff on the road and have to go knocking on doors to tell family members that their husbands, wives, kids or parents aren't coming home anymore.

How are the police influenced to believe certain things when they see the results of speeding & drunk/drugged drivers everyday?

You know what? .. They have to do that more regularly these days because of all the shootings, stabbings, bashings and alcohol fueled violence than ANYTHING ELSE.

Yet they're influenced to believe defecting cars for being too low, and doing things as sly as using performance vehicles to TRY and make some revenue is ACTUALLY SAVING LIVES!? GET f*ckED IT IS.

Wake up to the world son.

Seriously kids is there any need for that? Why must every thread that mentions police end in the same juvenile crap?

We are supposedly grown adults here, please don't let the keyboard give you a false sense of security and provoke the inner child otherwise it'll just be another thread locked or deleted and the end of any worthy discussion.

Where did I say that. All I said was that police see the result of people doing stupid stuff on the roads.

I agree with you that police baiting people to hoon is wrong.

Defecting cars for too low is a fine line.

I have seen lowered cars with the bottom of the car literally 2 inches from the road. Now that cant be safe can it?
