Hi all,

Well was all set to pull the trigger on a new FG F6 and thought I would get some insurance figures and they are really pricey. Here about people on here paying $900 mth and I have a clean record,no prangs or fines,garaged,70% NCB, 43yo and best quote is $3400 , WTF.

All of a sudden the F6 not looking that good.Any thoughts/ideas or can anyone recommend anyone other than AAMI and NRMA ?

Cheers

gio $900 per year, but wait for it $5k excess.

Mines just a xr duded up but with suncorp insurance & with me telling them all the mods incl the new eng & turbo & all the other bits & pieces mines about $70 odd a month. I love living in a small town with basically no car theft.

Best thing about AAMI I didnt realise until today, that even the actual mods are covered and damage, plus mentioning the mods puts up the agreed value, in my case up almost 5k

Shannons have always been good to me... $1080 per year for my Force 6 with insured value of $50k and a standard $500 excess.

And this is with a slightly unclean insurance history living in the classy western suburbs of Melbourne.

I was quite surprised to find the yearly premium that low considering what I was paying for my previous car at 1/5 of the insured value. Plus also have the knowledge that Shannons will insure pretty much any road legal mod for a minimal extra premium.

Yeah im through Shannons insurance QLD and I only pay $906 pa $75.55 pm agreed value of $46,800 with mods, $400 excess full comprehensive cover

ive lost my licence 2 times and got 6 infringements in the last 5 years lol I just scraped it in .....

Shannons is the only company that will insure modded or high performance cars in QLD that I know of...
