Icc Bem Question

Im looking at an used icc on ebay for my ba ute with a colour screen and 6 stacker to replace my standard screen and single cd. The icc does not come with a bem so would I be able to use my original one for the colour screen icc? Both single zone aircon. Also I hav read that there is a mecury thing in the icc and if tilted then fited it can wreck all electrics in the car, is this true? And how long and $ for local ford dealer to reprogram icc?

I dont think you will be able to use your bem, you will have to get the one for the colour screen. I have looked into this as my bem is faulty and I was gonna buy a bem off ebay but it wasnt the same as mine, so luck I found out before I bought it

Hi I think you will find that the bem is matched to the car not the icc unit check with Fadi at ASL but you will still need to get the icc matched to your car if you change it. Also there is no mercury switch in the icc it is just that ford say not to put the unit on its face so that you dont damage the "class a" painted finish and handle carefully when out of car as the stacker can go out of alighnment if turned upside down with discs in it.
