boost-kid Member 80 Member For: 16y 2m 20d Posted 05/11/09 07:45 AM Share Posted 05/11/09 07:45 AM hey guysim going to get a set of starcorp fusions, 19's for my XR.I was looking at getting 245's for the front, 275's for the rear.reason for fatter tread on the back is that I like the look of a beefed up rear with fatter tyres.the price difference in having 245's all round instead of 275 rears isnt my issue,my issue is after getting the rims, il be looking to lower the car.just wanted to get some opinions on how the car would be if lowered with 275's in the rear, as I know some guys on here have 285's in the rear.is it worth it?and also suspension wise what would my best options be? compressing standard springs? replacing them? as I wouldnt want to spend ridiculous money just for an inch or 2 lower.dont know a whole lot myself in this area so all help appreciated guys.also if you can post up pics of your cars with fatter tread on the back.thanks. We have lowered BA's with the usual King spring combo while running wide rear tyres, but its generally case by case as there are so many variations of rim sizes.Please don't get your factory springs reset, its unsafe and considering a new pair is only $165 rrp, you might as well do it right. I want to see how the ssl's sit also so I have an idea when I lower it.how was the ride difference from standard to the ssl's? they handle much better? and stiffer?also, do you have 245's on the front?
