Ok, so let me give you fella's a run down on how I have spec'd the wiring and Motec systems, I am also running a Motec ADL 3 dash with all the bells and whistles. So, Motec is running everything except the dash radio and ABS system that is functional even with my 4 link rear end, thanks to Kyle and 6Boost, this was not easy, dash and original tachos also still functional.

We have setup the Motec M800 & CDI as well as the 888 to be capable of selecting 4 pre-loaded tunes on 4 different fuels without having to plug in a laptop etc. it is switch operated. I have also set up a 9 position mental switch on the right lower dash section that is capable of adjusting and loading 9 different boost levels from 10 to 100psi if necessary, this will enable me to actually drive the car to Willowbank on my new street (micky thompson treaded )315/60/15's as it is engineered and plated with all the mods except nitrous that exsists but isn't fitted to the car until much later on, so after tuning to whatever the max boost level will be on the dyno on the 4 various fuels I will be able to slowly dial the car in at the track without requiring a pit crew every time we go..eg. start with 20psi then 25,30,40,50,60.

Anti-lag and gear position is setup on the shifter and I decided to run a separate 46mm gate on the cold side over and above the 50mm blow off, this runs its own 4 port solenoid and it is controlled separately through the Motec, this enables me to 2 step from 10psi to 40psi if necessary, and yes Jet it also operates between the gears enabling me not to lift off the gas pedal while shifting in the Magnum T60 that has been modified yet again with a steel bell housing for the car to meet ANDRA requirements (safety)

I hope the above may have answered any questions you may have had in that department Jet... (Your Welcome) :vampire:

mate u really have the ultimate package , love it it seems like alot of R&D has gone into this ride and one area iam very intrested in is the selection of the aftermarket ecu quite seriously not many if any will every have a set up as complicated as urs need and the multitude of functions u require but if u had to select an ecu for a car that is looking around the 1000hp mark and may look into some staged boost per gear selection ( auto) what would u be looking at still the motec?

both motec and haltech have brillant products but where would u throw your dollars and did u have a serious look at other ecu's or was this a tried and tested path and just went for what works ?

some other ecus out there but for the falcon and trying to keep all the factory stuff still in play is whats seeming complicated task did motec just tick all the boxes?

Definitely Motec Jet for a complete package, haltec are great but not quite at that level as yet....;-) Bang for buck though the Haltech is definitely an option to consider, but you will compromise...

how hard is it to actually get the after market ecu's to talk to the body control module so every thinks works as per factory? is it just a matter of piggy backing the factory unit off the motec or the motec off the factory unit ? is there seperate interfaces u can buy to make it work or does the motec have a bunch of input/ outputs that can be programed for such a job. as far as I can see the haltec has a bunch of additional units that can be added to the main unit to control different things but as it stands the falcon is just such a different kettle if fish when it comes to using aftermarket ecu's.

who u getting to do all the installation of your motec and have they done many b4 urs or is urs the full test pig ? btw that digital dash is porn :P

when u say u can have the facility to switch on the fly this sounds awsome and controls on the fly aswell and not have to use a laptop I like this , so this also sounds like the motec has a fair bit of memory and relays within her or are the relays seperate ( where u got these mounted )

sorry for all the q's

Hey Jet, as of today Motec is the only ecu that you can buy the feature for running the ford fly by wire throttle body correctly through the motec alone no piggy back option. Haltech I am aware are working on something similar right now but it isn't available as yet to the masses currently testing, that is why DLM haltech plug in looms are only on offer for cable TBA as yet.

My vehicle would be the most exstensively modified Motec systems thus far but there are others that we're done more simply before mine like Brian BCL and Menace Jay that are members here. My instal is being done by Phil Laird Graphic Skills Racing and he is the guy in the photo above..
