Comparing a 4000lb family car to anything else IMO is fruitless, especially those with 10-20 years more development time or those sold in numerous countries with 500 times more people modifying them like the evo's. if we want to go that route, lets ask how many H pattern Evo's, WRX's, VL's, Supra's and GTR's have run 9's IN THIS COUNTRY. You can put your toes away, you can probably count all makes on your 2 hands :innocent:

Yep - two hands, That's about two hands more than you need to count the Fords. 20 years of development? Maybe no-one was as eager to bankroll such rapid development back then, or possibly you could make all this happen on a Wolf 3D or a Unichip, as were the options available to tuners back then.

500 times more people can't be wrong..

I am taking the p!ss boost6 - I do like your work... You are also forgetting, or are not aware I've defended the H pattern box in the maxi taxi more than any other on this site...

Just wondering if you looked into turbo options like BW the new Airwerks gear about to be launched.. Variable Turbine Geometry and dual volutes.. Handy work.

As you will all be able to ascertain with the graph below, initial pump fuel tuning has commenced yesterday, however it is far from optimal as yet... Jamie FPT & 6Boost also have business's to run so it is not possible to just drop everything else and spend countless hours just tuning the old girl :buttonit: Jamie spent a couple of hours yesterday just on the idle :bowdown: , new injector scaling etc. basically a complete tune from scratch is required. The two test pulls below are on Bp98 and far from optimum afr's, finalising the pump tune & the beginning of the race tune should happen by the end of today :beerchug::icon_ford:

Maybe as I haven't posted here much you take my forwardness as for more angry and abrupt than intended UTE 6F, I took your post relatively light heartedly, and judging by the fact you wished spiro all the best, I knew your post wasn't intended to be rude. If you read my post more clearly though, I said how many H pattern cars in AUSTRALIA run 9's? I can think of 1 supra, 2 evo's, 1 wrx, and 2 vl's, so that's a total of 6 cars, and the heaviest is a supra at 3600lb with as much money as spiro's spent on it, and 10 time stronger factory rear end and manual box. Sure maybe there is hundreds if not thousands of these cars WORLDWIDE that run 9's, but then if the BA-FG falcon was sold worldwide in the same numbers in countries with the same amount of development potential we might have seen 9's years ago and have hundreds doing so as well;)

We don't use much BW stuff as garrett has proven almost unbreakable, more companies stock them, as well as having a broader range available. Plain bearing stuff in most cases with 20-30psi of boost we find doesn't last more than 12-24 months without needing a rebuild. I also don't think the VNT stuff will catch on with performance engines, if it was doable we would have seen it on indy cars or similar high level motorsport by now. I'm not sure if the system will stand up to the temperature and rpm some performance turbo's are driven to. The jury is out till I see more:)

I have just returned from a marathon of tuning afternoon :sleepystuff: We had evil demons visit once again with some software issues becoming apparent on Jamie's dyno, it was a simple fix however every technician in Dyno dynamics who was capable of dialing in remotely was at the Melbourne cup FFS :crybaby:

So off we went again to MTQ dyno too see if we could register a reading on race fuel :dontknow: this again was to prove non effective as we struggled to get a reading with the Pzero's frying and doing all sorts of funny stuff no result again :bangcomputer:

The highlight of my day would have been the drive from Jamie's workshop to MTQ :turboboink: Words are ineffective to describe the shear animal instinct of the the new rear end and Detroit locker, pure raw power... The 285,s didn't stand a chance.

We did however register one reading (Below) early that I was kind enough to send to Daniel (Bev) :innocent::roflmbo: I will let him elaborate further..
