When people are steering these quick manuals are you flat changing or using the clutch still?

There is a modification to the slave cylinder (& gearbox) available but not tested that allow's push or pull to shift capabilities (sequential no clutch changes). We will discuss this in more detail once it has landed from the USA and is tested.. (after Christmas) Edited 21/10/10 08:54 PM by SPIKO

mic Donating Members 1,725 Member For: 17y 17d Gender: Male Posted 23/10/10 11:51 PM Share Posted 23/10/10 11:51 PM liberty would be good for drag but hardly drivable on street. a h pattern sequential would be something else. as for flat shifting its all in the clutch, but what is different in the magnum box compared to std ?u using an opt 6 mr spiro ?? I know mal - at the time I got mine put in - had a special little option that helped flat shifting with the twin plates.

I run a mix of button & carbon ceramic clutches so that it can be driven on the street, my fly wheel is heavily lightened and my pressure plate is also modified for much more clamp down pressure as well...Flat changing can be done in many ways, you can also semi flat change as well so you don't blow your gearbox to smithereens with sticky slick tyre's.. You will all soon see this nevertheless not too long to go now, we will also be able to run the car more than once down the track with the recent mod's. This will in turn allow us to try a few approaches at once and hopefully work out the optimum approach in all area's.
