Hello All,

Im new to the forum and in the next couple of weeks I will be buying my first ford.

I have narrowed it down to either BA typhoon or BF XR6 Turbo ?

Im after some advise on which would be the better buy, they are around the same price but I am leaning towards the typhoon because from what I have been told they pretty much have the same motor ? (Correct if im wrong) but the typhoon looks better, ie better interior, body kit and so on.

Need some advise, what do you guys recon ?

Thanks in advance.

A couple of questions if I may?

Have you narrowed it down to any particular cars ?

If so some details will help ie options , pricing, Ks etc

I assume you are after a manual ( BA II Phoons only in manual)?

I really like the BA typhoon in rapid yellow, had a look at one they are very nice inside and out and good power stock ?

I have owned a BA T auto 280 rwkw, BAII Phoon 310 rwkw, BF Phoon 370n rwkw.

Current car is far better all round. But to answer your question as best I can..........

The Phoon will also have better brakes , a far better clutch set up and better suspension tune in stock form.

A flash tune will see both make very similar power.

I suppose it all comes down to your final objectives for the car.

If it's a manual with similar Ks I vote Phoon.

Power wise the Phoon will be approximately 210 - 230 rwkw , and the T not too different around the 200- 220 rwk mark

Exactly like those, love the look and the interior is amazing too.

I have set myself a budget so dont want to spend the money to buy a bf phoon other wise I would they are amazing cars.

What I want out of the car is something I can easily modify to get to 300 rwkw and something that looks good.

The phoon I think is the better car for me, has looks has the power im looking to start with and with a little bit of mods I can get to the 300 rwkw mark.

Anyone else have any other opinions ?

What differences are there between the 2 cars and which one would you get ?

Hey mate I would go with the BA phoon. mainly because its a FPV and Better Brakes, Bit more power, Better body kit and internals in the engine are alot better unless your going to get 6t Bf mk2 which has F6 internals I think.

If You want a car with 6sp Auto or Low kms it will have to be the MK2 BF turbo. But there are some BA phoons still with low kms.

Im in the same situation but between a Fg xr6t or BF phoon.. (which is alot harder cause both nearly got the same engine)

Good luck

Yer I think im going to get the ba typhoon, love the looks, decent power, good to start with, can easily mod to 300rwkw so I think that's the go.

Now I just have to find one lol, there is not many up for sale at the moment :(
