I've got a exhaust noise coming from around my exhaust manafold I thought I may be the gasket leaking but I've heard that in the BA's they have a common problem with the bolts on the turbo fracturing and falling out. Has anyone heard of this problem???

I have one that comes undone on a regular basis - luckly it is the one that I can get too without pulling the heat shield off

I think someone said it was due to the imperfections in the metal casting caused the turbo housing to develop cracks

with the extreme heat and cooling down of the turbo, it causes the nuts to loosen over time. it will keep happening if its started. get on ebay and buy some g locks. that's the only way to fix it once and for all.

not just the turbo you will find the exh manifold to head bolts will be loose they don't use a gasket between them because of the heat ,easy fix just remove heat shields can be done without removing turbo oil lines etc if your patient , then tighten all the exh bolts ,do this every 15-20k kms
