Offset Range

Hi, what is the offset range we can work with for wheels on a BA/BF Falcon, between +35 and +40 or what is best recommended. I have +35 on now which I think is also the the standard offset.

To stay legal, I think it is 28 to 42.

So, 16x8 +22 front and 16x9 +22 rear on BA Sedan wouldnt work.

Tried talking to a wheel shop but they just confused me, more sensible responses on here

ok, standard is +36.

legally (nsw) you can lower offset to +24

However, the cops arent going to know. Your suggested 8' +22 will sit 14mm further outboard than the standard wheels. I wouldnt be afraid of rolling the guards.....wider stance looks tough, this is an area where the XRs look weak.

On 8' and 8.5' wheels, +30 is nice as it widens track a little with no rub. This fitment is common in Japanese wheels.

In the rears if you are going to run 9.5s, +38 is the common fitment, however +30 or so will also work just needs a bit more guard work.

there are online calculators for offset / width to take the mystery out of the whole thing.

16 x 6.5 , +40 Offset

These figures should fit ok on the falcon yes, as it means they are only sitting in an extra 5mm each side.

6.5 +40 is a very pissy fitment indeed......man up and roll on some 9.5s or 10s in the rear!!!

So on a BFII you can run a 9.5, +38 without having to roll the guards?

I recently put 18x9.5 +35s on the rear of my car, no guard rolling needed at all.

I'm looking at getting a set of SSR SP1 Professors. I want decent fitment, I.e. near flush. I'll lip the guards if I need to. Do you think 19x8.5 +25 front and 19x9.5 +30 rear will fit?
