You can even use a length of fuel hose and stick it in your ear and use the other end to find the leak. Check all you turbo bolts and dump pipe nuts and keep an eye out for any black sooty stains around gaskets etc. The black plastic pipe is only your intake pipe so their in no pressure in their when revving. Check all pipes and hoses are not caught or have rubbed anywhere. Check all the bearings on the drive belt and all pulleys. How often does the oil get changed?... big ends and mains make a similar sound under load ...

evilpawn Member 16 Member For: 15y 9m 3d Posted 27/10/09 05:39 AM Author Share Posted 27/10/09 05:39 AM Unfortunately I have no idea about vehicle history. I assume it was modded at one stage only because of the apparent aftermarket turbo. Car is running fine now apart from the fact it wont boost. We found a loose bolt on the core of the turbo that is a warranty issue apparantly. I have a photo of offending bolt. I took it to the workshop again and was told that after selling xxxx turbos a year etc he has never seen one spit bolts out like this. I am lead to believe that there is also a bolt missing from other side of turbo as well. Coils were $330 with $99 labour and Im told I got a discount as it is. Am really getting the sh*ts with this car.
