The wear indicators on my current Marangoni Mythos have started to hit the top of the tread so its new tyre time......

While Ive got no complaints with the Marangonis, they've been great and after getting 30,000+ ks out of them, I'd use them again for sure....

I've been offered Yokohama "Advan's" which I've never heard of for $250 ea. fitted and balanced....for a Yokohama tyre, they sound almost "too cheap" if you know what I mean...

Has anybody else used these? what are your thoughts?....

I have Advan Sport V103s in 19' great grip and traction rating , but do wear if driven hard. Rears are farked after 20000ks

These cost me $400 per corner and that was a bargain price.

$250 for 18s sounds too good to be true IMO

I have the Michelin Pilot PP2's and they were good till they got to 50% and they become VERY noisy and just had no grip from a stop no matter what surface. I think they were really good in the corners till I scrubbed them out after a few nights in the mountains lol

Now have Yokohama Advan Sport V103's and while they are still new ish (~3500kms on them) they are as new and VERY quiet in comparison.

They straight line traction is awesome (even from a stop, very wide tread for a 19" FPV rim) and while they dont seem to bite in first on corners, they are very progressive and give you lots of confidence..

Both sets were bloody expensive.

Ok, heres the guff....

On the sidewall.....ADVAN A13A 245/40R18 93W

then.....F1250L...then.....FDJX.....date of manufacture 05/07

Can any-one tell me which No. tells you the load rating?

They recommend these ones for Jap imports as well but Im concerned that if we fit them to a Falcon size car....they'll get ripped to bits you know.....

Thanks guys... :3gears:
