BFHOON Donating Members 1,932 Member For: 19y 1m 19d Gender: Male Location: nsw Posted 26/10/09 02:24 PM Share Posted 26/10/09 02:24 PM exhaust gasses like to follow the path of least resistance, if its easier to flow around the turbine and out the exhaust it will go that way. opening up the stock wastegate allows more gasses to exit the wastegate instead of going around the turbine giving better boost control at high rpm where there is more exhaust gas than is needed to hold maximim boost.it is also a massive fine if your caught with pipe instead of a cat, like 10 grand iv heard.
