UPDATED...

Confirmed for 5th December

Hi all,

I am Dave from Waxit.

Thanks to James for organising this.

The day will run like this:

Arrive at 1.00pm for a BBQ...I supply the soft drinks, sauces, untensils etc...you guys supply the snags / bread / cook.

Finish BBQ at 1.30pm and kick off the clinic as below:

The clinic is a demonstration style event, you do not work on your car. Basically I will demonstrate products and techniques on a panel of my own car.

You will not be pushed to purchase on the day, (although our showroom / shop is open before and afterward should you wish to buy something) and you wont have one particular brand shoved down your throat. Bascially the idea of the day is to make you aware of different methods of detailing and dispelling some of the product myths that abound. (especially on forums )

Washing and drying...tips and techniques

How to use a clay bar

Machine polishing....an overview showing the different types of machines, polishes and pads

Hand polishing...using a non abrasive paint cleanser.

Application of sealants and waxes....what is the difference, which type (not brand) to use.

Wheel and tyre care...tips and techniques

Interior care...tips and techniques

Plus anything else you want to discuss or know about that I can answer.

Usually takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to get through it. We do provide seating for 15.

If you have any further questions about the day please feel free to ask, otherwise I look forward to seeing you on the 5th of Dec.

Address is:

Unit 10 /690 Gympie Rd

(Same group of stores as Autobarn)

Lawnton, QLD

Waxit is able to host your car club or group of car enthusiast mates for a Saturday afternoon detailing clinic.

These clinics are aimed squarely at the average car loving guy or girl who wants to learn more about the detailing process, techniques and products.

We cover:

Clay barring.

Machine polishing (an overview only)

Hand polishing.

A typical clinic starts with a BBQ at 1.00pm. You or your club provide the food and the cook. Waxit provides the BBQ, utensils, sauces and soft drinks. At approximately 1.30pm we kick off the workshop which run for about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on questions etc.

You need 6 people to start and a maximum of 15 per workshop.

Naturally our showroom is open before and after the clinic should you wish to make a product purchase on the day.

For more information or to book your club / group in please contact David Ellis on (07) 3881 0585.

So if this is something that floats your boat, post-up to say so. If there's confirmed interest then we'll figure out a suitable date.
