Well it would really top the box off. If they could find any fault with it, that would be about it. Maybe someone should suggest ford to add it in the FG mk2s?

I know it doesn't rev match automagically, but have you tried blipping the throttle yourself, just as you are about to change down?

Timing is everything...

I read the same article, what a crock of ST, the commodores auto doesn't do it. Its just a gimmick anyway... unless its a automated or DSG, which it isn't; stupid journalists...

why not give a Falcon a perfect score if the only problem with it is something they made up that does nothing... GRRRRR

I know it sucks

I just got off the phone to a mate who is a service mgr for a local Expensive Daewoo dealer, and nope it don't blip either. It says it changes down under hard braking and the ford doesn't. He laughed at that. Mine always seems to be in the right gear coming out of a corner, except when I smash it down a cog or two too many. Std exhaust and I cant hear it.

But it would help those little lock ups. And hey it sounds great if you have a good system.

And dfi is all they did as well, they dont really fix anything, it's still got no torque its still the most complicated, coarse V6 and I find it very hard to believe that dfi smoothed that motor out.

It still looks exactly the same except for the dfi badges down on the front guard.

Lets hope they give us more with the FGmkII Then again I wont be able to affford one. Well unless they are that good.

The holdens don't do it and neither do the fords..

It would be very good however if they added it to the ZF since its pretty much spot on now, but it would be absolutely awesome if it was something that could be flashed into a computer on B series with ZFs!!!

I too blip it myself when driving in semi auto now, timing is everything as said above and it can work/sound just as good as computer controlled blips, BUT you do get a little bit of satisfaction that you did it yourself haha! (well, I do lol)

6th to 5th = not enough revs to feel really, nothing needed

5th to 4th = small rev difference, but the ZF is so smooth you don't feel this one either

4th to 3rd = depends how high up in the gear you are.. if I am going for it around the hills etc, I blip it a little

3rd to 2nd = the sweetest change to blip as it has quite a significant difference in revs, but is easy enough to blip without worrying about stuffing it up or blipping too much

2nd to 1st = obviously a big one, easy to muck up or give too many revs for 'spirited driving' for people who haven't had a play/practice, BUT if you are going fairly hard (higher rpm in 2nd) the blip down is smooth and effortless!

Give it a go, guys.

I read the same article. I loved how the XR trounced the Expensive Daewoo by 2 seconds at Winton..

that's a pretty convicing margin.

Personally I reckon yeah, the blip would be oight.. But I`m not crying my car doesn`t have it.
